(may contain spoilers)

Detective Inspector Will Jackman has a difficult and clueless case on hands! Grace Bannister's daughter was found undressed in the middle of a Leicestershire country lane. But there are some exquisite aspects that Will realized that didn't fit in the picture. But, without any clues leading to the solution of this case, Jackman has his hands tied!

Grace is dealing with all this situation the best way she can. In spite of having all the support of her family, Grace is aching for an answer to her daughter's murder. When the police can't come up with anything close to that, Grace takes the matter into her own hands and digs into anything that might be the solution.

In this moment of sadness and suffering, Grace bumps into Faye. An old friend who has the right words to say to this suffering mother. Faye becomes a close confident of Grace who will support and help her friend get the answers she needs. But, is Faye a real friend o has she some interests of her own behind all of her attitudes?

At some point, Grace is faced with some tough things and situations! Something bad happened and it seems like she's the guilty one! Right in the prologue, the reader is faced with Grace being judged for a horrible crime that was committed. But then we find out that the true guilty person is someone closer to Grace than I ever imagined!

In spite of being mind blown by the ending of this story, the way it is told is quite slow. Because Jackman has no clues to solve the murder of Grace's daughter, the story fell quite short. But, overall, a good and light reading.
