Synosis: Two hearts in the darkness… Makenna James and Caden Grayson have been inseparable since the day they were trapped in a pitch-black elevator and found acceptance and love in the arms of a stranger. Makenna hopes that night put them on the path to forever—which can’t happen until she introduces her tattooed, pierced, and scarred boyfriend to her father and three over-protective brothers. Must fight for love in the light… Haunted by a childhood tragedy and the loss of his family, Caden never thought he’d find the love he shares with Makenna. But the deeper he falls, the more he fears the devastation sure to come if he ever lost her, too. When meeting her family doesn’t go smoothly, Caden questions whether Makenna deserves someone better, stronger, and just more…normal. Maybe they’re too different—and he’s far too damaged—after all…

Opinion (may contain spoilers):
Since I had finished "Hearts in Darkness" that I was expecting to read this one! And now I finally got the chance to do it! I must say that this was utterly amazing! I missed Makenna and Caden so much and now it's over! Why?!

Makenna and Caden have a fantastic relationship! It is simple, true and undoubtedly full of love. And the way they talk, look and touch each other says that exactly! They have been happy since they've met each other. Or that's what it looks like.

Since the accident that Caden have been struggling with those memories. And now, he has been having some terrible nightmares and panic attacks. And they've been getting worse since he went with Makenna to her family's house for Thanksgivings. Makenna re-encountered an ex-lover who tried to get her back. And, to make it worse, Caden overheard some people saying that he wasn't the right guy for Makenna. Now, because of Caden's struggles, his condition just got worse and worse. He's got clinical depression and it's serious. Reading the book it may seem like it's now big deal but it is. There's so many people struggling with it and it can make someone die if nothing's done.

Caden insecurities and doubts make him feel worthless and he now thinks Makenna deserves someone better. He pushed her away as much as he could. All he wanted was to be alone, all alone. But, he's lucky. He has got people who care about him who helped him get better!

Caden has loved Makenna since that day in the elevator. But now that all his demons are gone, he can finally say it to her without doubts! She never stopped caring about him, and now she's got some good news! I was so delighted to see that their relationship was coming back together! God! What is life? I'm sure that this news were everything Caden needed to get back up!

I loved the fact that this book showed that men can also be depressed! That they can also cry and fell worthless. It's not stupid if they feel that way! We are all human beings and it's not the sex that determine if man should or should not struggle with this kind of issues!

It was an amazing finale for this saga! These two books were a complete but fantastic surprise! Can't wait to read something else of Laura!
