Opinion (with spoilers):
When it comes to paranormal books, I really don't know what to expect because it can be really good or a huge failure! In this case, I was surprised by how the author was able to give us such a good book given the circumstances of the plot!

Dimitri is a young man whose mind is being controlled by another person. So, he does everything Karl tells him to do without even blinking. And now, Dimitri in deep in the world of crime and murder even though he doesn't want to. Also, the different ways he finds to dodge out of some situations are out of this world. He was created in such a clever way that it's impossible not to like him!

Then, we have Syd: a women who Dimitri met and turned out to be so much more to him. But, romances aren't always pink. And Syd doesn't like the fact that Dimitri is hiding things from her. Between love and his secrets, Dimitri tries his best not to end what started as a simple one night stand.

A very good thing in this book is that the author didn't use a descriptive style. Some think that describing everything is good but it can end up being exhaustive. But, in this case, the author nailed it! Because she started "building this world" in a way that I was able to imagine it right away, the descriptions turned out to be a good complement.

Sometimes, I felt like the story was going in circles but apart from that, this was an awesome paranormal book! If you like this kind of genre, go and read it now! I just can't wait to read the next one!

Rating: 4/5
